Research Paper Class

 

 

A class that I really liked was a research paper class taught by Mrs. Christine Guest. All of the students each made a research paper. Mine was about how the Mongol’s only conquered their empire because of their horses.

Mrs. Guest taught me a LOT about writing a research paper, such as using the concept of double-dipping, which is combining two subjects into one. For instance, if one’s paper was about an event in history, then that person could make their paper count for both history and writing.

Mrs. Guest also taught me about how to not plagiarize other people’s work, create a thesis statement, and how to write note cards. She was VERY helpful. A lot of times, she would talk to me after class about how my paper was coming, and give me valuable suggestions for it.

Mrs. Guest made a big project seem fun, and not so intimidating by breaking it down into smaller sections.
